“When did we stop talking to each other?” she asked me.
“When our lies were appreciated more than our truths;
when our honesty started wars.”
“When did we stop talking to each other?” she asked me.
“When our lies were appreciated more than our truths;
when our honesty started wars.”
“Why me,” he asked.
“Why do you love me more than you’ve ever loved anyone before me?”
With his hand in mine, I told him,
“because you treated me like a queen, long before I truly became one. Everyone else treated me like a princess in need of a knight to save her; you treated me like a queen, the kind a king would want to rule beside.”
“And the thing is, I can’t tell you to stay away from her because she loves you.”
“But she told me she isn’t in-”
“I never said she was. She loves you but she’s not in love with you. There’s a difference between the two.”
“I don’t have a heart,” she whispered.
“You do,” he said as he tucked her in his embrace.
“It’s just become a part of everyone you’ve ever loved. The problem you are facing now is not a lack of your heart, but a lack of love for yourself…”
“When did we stop talking to each other?” She asked me.
“When our lies were appreciated more than our truths; when our honesty started wars.”
“You were gone…” She whispered.
“That’s because you pushed me away,” he replied.
“Where did you go?” She asked.
“I actually never left. But I knew you needed some space to breathe.”
“Do you love me?” She asked, in the middle of their embrace.
“No.” He answered before dropping his head onto her shoulder.
“Though I want to, I still have to learn how to.”
“How can someone who smiles so much, laughs so much and love so much be so unhappy?” He asked.
“She had always been unhappy. The problem is that she didn’t want anyone to see her like that, so she tried to be happy. But faking it doesn’t always mean you make it.”
Someone: “Are you okay?”
Me: “I’m not okay. Just tired. I didn’t sleep at all well last night.”
Someone: “Oh, too much homework?”
Me: “No, too many thoughts. Yeah.”
Someone: “Dang. Well you still have today to do it. Have you studied for the test?”
Me: “A little, I tried to but I couldn’t. ”
Someone: “I’m sure you’ll do fine. You’re smart.”
Me: “I failed the last one though, but I’ll just try my best, I guess. Even though it’s probably not enough.”
Someone: “You can do it.”
Me: “I can’t, but thanks.”
